VASCULAR ACCESS BECOME CERTIFIED®
PVASECURE.COM| PHOENIX VASCULAR ACCESS, LLC | PROVIDERS OF EDUCATION & TRAINING
Our organization is in outstanding company among established private organizations that create, develop and administer professional education, training, competency assessments, and certification programs.
Professional certification is not exclusively a function of government agencies, public institutions, universities, or nonprofit associations. Privately operated organizations, including nonprofit and for-profit entities, may establish professional certification programs, develop eligibility standards, administer competency assessments, and award credentials within their respective fields of expertise.
Our authority to establish certification eligibility requirements arises from our status as a private certification provider and our professional program standards—not from any claim to exercise governmental licensing authority.
Our certification credential recognizes qualifications demonstrated under our program standards. It does not replace governmental licensure, expand legally authorized professional practice, or independently grant clinical privileges.
Our certification services are intended to supplement existing professional qualifications and support specialized clinical competency. They do not replace state licensing requirements, expand professional scopes of practice, or authorize procedures beyond those permitted by applicable law.
Our commitment is to maintain clear professional eligibility requirements, protect patient safety, respect the authority of state licensing boards, and provide specialized services through approved healthcare institutions and organizational relationships.
Independence, Scientific Integrity, and Real-World Clinical Experience
Our organization operates independently and is not financially sponsored, controlled, or influenced by outside organizations whose interests could compromise scientific integrity, clinical data, educational standards, or patient safety. Our curriculum and professional services are developed through a combination of established scientific evidence and extensive, boots-on-the-ground clinical experience.
Drawing upon long-term, nationwide experience with healthcare facilities, clinical professionals, and vascular access practices, we bring real-world observations and practical knowledge into the educational process.
This approach allows us to examine how published science aligns with actual clinical experiences, identify potential gaps between research and practice, and continuously improve the safety, quality, and effectiveness of the procedures and processes our curriculum is designed to support.
Our commitment is to independent professional judgment, evidence-based education, real-world clinical accountability, and patient safety, without allowing outside financial or organizational interests to dictate our educational conclusions or professional standards.
Professional Eligibility, Institutional Affiliation, and Certification Policy
Vascular Access Education, Training, Assessment, and Board-Certification Services
About Founders - Curriculum, Education, Training, Certifying, and so much more, since 2010.
Our organization is a privately operated provider of specialized vascular access curriculum, professional education, clinical training, competency assessment, board-certification, and healthcare consulting services.
Our programs support the professional development of qualified medical and nursing personnel employed by hospitals and healthcare facilities. We place particular emphasis on patient safety, professional accountability, compliance with applicable laws, and verified clinical competency.
1. Professional Eligibility Requirements
Eligibility for our clinical vascular access education, training, assessment, and board-certification programs is restricted to qualified healthcare professionals who meet all applicable requirements.
Eligible professional categories:
Medical Doctors (MDs)
Physician Assistants (PAs)
Registered Nurses (RNs)
All applicants must hold an appropriate, current professional license and be legally authorized under applicable state licensing laws, professional scope-of-practice requirements, and regulatory standards to perform the specific vascular access procedures for which they seek training, assessment, or certification.
Applicants must also meet applicable educational, clinical experience, employer authorization, and competency requirements.
Professional education, training, certification does not grant, replace, or expand a healthcare professional's legal license or authority to perform clinical procedures.
2. Institutional Affiliation and Participation
Our programs are provided through approved institutional relationships with hospitals, healthcare facilities, and authorized healthcare organizations.
Applicants must be employed by, professionally affiliated with, or otherwise authorized to participate through an approved institution that maintains a current or previously established contractual or organizational relationship with us, subject to our enrollment policies.
Independent applications are not accepted at this time. Participants are required to enroll through an approved hospital, healthcare facility, or affiliated healthcare organization under our established institutional arrangements.
Participation is governed by applicable contractual obligations, institutional approval, confidentiality provisions, and healthcare compliance requirements.
3. Professional Licensing and Scope-of-Practice Restrictions
Our organization does not award clinical vascular access board-certifications in our VA-BC® to applicants whose professional licenses do not authorize the vascular access procedures covered by the certification sought.
Under our clinical certification eligibility policy, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), Respiratory Therapists (RTs/RRTs), Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), and other professional categories outside our approved eligibility classifications are not eligible for our complete certification program.
These exclusions reflect our organization's eligibility standards, patient-safety considerations, and the scope and objectives of our clinical training and assessment programs.
Completion of education, training, or assessment does not constitute authorization to perform procedures outside a participant's legally permitted professional scope of practice.
4. Clinical Education, Training, and Competency
Participating healthcare professionals must meet the requirements of their respective professional licenses, applicable state regulatory authorities, institutional policies, and our program standards.
Clinical training and competency assessments are conducted within authorized healthcare settings under appropriate clinical oversight.
Professional competency, legal authorization, and institutional privileges are separate requirements. Certification does not replace any of these requirements.
5. Confidentiality, Nondisclosure Agreements, and Protection of Institutional Records
Our organization maintains strict confidentiality and nondisclosure requirements concerning all participating hospitals, healthcare facilities, healthcare organizations, affiliated professionals, and individuals enrolled in or receiving our educational, training, assessment, certification, or consulting services.
All participant enrollment information, educational records, professional training documentation, competency assessments, certification records, consulting activities, clinical performance documentation, institutional affiliations, and related business information are treated as confidential and protected under applicable contractual agreements, nondisclosure obligations, privacy requirements, and governing laws.
Because these records may be associated with participating hospitals, healthcare facilities, institutional agreements, and patient-related clinical activities, their disclosure may be restricted by contractual confidentiality obligations and applicable federal and state privacy laws.
Our organization cannot voluntarily release, confirm, disclose, or otherwise provide information identifying individuals who have enrolled in, participated in, completed, or received any of our educational, training, assessment, certification, or consulting services without prior written authorization from both the participating individual and the affiliated hospital, healthcare facility, or authorized healthcare organization, where such dual authorization is required by our contractual and confidentiality obligations.
This policy applies to requests from outside individuals, organizations, professional associations, commercial entities, and other third parties.
All information remains subject to applicable legal requirements, including disclosures authorized or required by law.
6. Patient-Associated Clinical Records
Clinical training, assessment, and vascular access procedures may involve actual patient encounters and associated healthcare documentation.
When clinical performance records contain or are linked to patient-identifiable information, such records are subject to applicable patient privacy laws, including HIPAA where applicable, and institutional privacy and security requirements.
Patient-associated clinical records are not made available through routine public certification inquiries.
Any legally permitted use or disclosure must follow applicable privacy protections, authorization requirements, and institutional procedures.
Clinical performance records associated with patient care may include information concerning vascular access procedures, patient assessments, device placements, clinical competency evaluations, and related documentation maintained within hospital or healthcare facility systems.
Such records are maintained under applicable patient confidentiality requirements, healthcare institutional agreements, and nondisclosure obligations. Our organization does not voluntarily disclose patient-associated clinical records or identifying information without the authorizations required by applicable law and institutional agreements.
These protections apply regardless of whether the participating healthcare professional is currently enrolled, has completed training, or previously received services through our organization.
7. Institutional and Professional Verification
Our organization maintains confidentiality concerning the identity, participation, enrollment, education, training, assessment, certification, and professional performance of individuals associated with participating hospitals and healthcare facilities.
Requests to verify an individual's participation, enrollment, educational completion, clinical training, competency assessment, certification status, or consulting involvement are subject to our institutional agreements, nondisclosure obligations, applicable privacy requirements, and verification policies.
No voluntary verification or release of confidential participant information will occur without the prior written authorization of both the individual concerned and the affiliated hospital, healthcare facility, or authorized healthcare organization, as required by our agreements.
Where records are associated with actual patient care, disclosure must additionally comply with applicable patient privacy laws, including HIPAA where applicable, and institutional privacy and security requirements.
Our organization does not provide third parties with confidential employee information, proprietary institutional records, patient-associated clinical documentation, or protected contractual information merely because an individual participated in our programs.
These confidentiality protections form an essential component of our institutional relationships and professional obligations to participating healthcare organizations and their personnel.
These confidentiality and nondisclosure obligations apply regardless of whether an individual is currently enrolled, has completed participation, or previously received services through our organization, subject to applicable contractual terms and law.
8. Patient Safety and Professional Accountability
Our certification standards are designed to support patient safety, professional competency, and compliance with applicable professional licensing laws.
We reserve the right to deny, suspend, or revoke certification eligibility when an applicant does not meet our professional, legal, clinical, institutional, or ethical requirements, subject to applicable program policies.
Our fundamental policy is that professional education, clinical training, competency assessment, and board-certification must operate within, not outside, the legally authorized scope of the healthcare professional's existing license.
